I am a PhD Candidate in Accounting at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, with research focused on sustainability, climate change, and auditing practices. My academic interests include sustainability accounting, ESG reporting, climate-related financial disclosures, integrated reporting, and the role of audit and assurance in enhancing transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.

Alongside my academic work, I am a Chartered Accountant (CA), Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA), and Member of ACCA (UK), with over 15 years of professional experience across public practice, industry, and government in Australia and Sri Lanka. I have advised SMEs, corporates, and public sector organisations on accounting, taxation, audit, and financial matters, supporting informed decision-making, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.

My professional expertise spans taxation advisory (income tax, BAS, FBT, payroll tax), financial reporting, audit and assurance, and regulatory compliance, complemented by strong strategic financial advisory capabilities. I specialise in business planning, financial modelling, project financing, investment analysis, and risk management, helping organisations navigate complex financial, regulatory, and governance environments.

I hold First Class Honours at both academic and professional levels, reflecting a rigorous technical foundation combined with a practical, solutions-focused approach. I completed my Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) with First Class Honours at the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka (2017), and a Master of Professional Accounting with an average Distinction at Charles Sturt University, Australia (2020).
